At DIAPLASIS we offer family holiday packages to people with disabilities and their families in a seaside hotel with accessible areas and attendance at our center for outpatients. The patient is transported to DIAPLASIS for treatment with our center’s specially equipped mini buses.
For patients requiring admission, we facilitate the vacation of the other family members by fully undertaking the patient’s recovery at DIAPLASIS. In doing so, the patient can enjoy the company of loved ones during their holidays. The patient’s transfer to DIAPLASIS is done with our fully-equipped ambulances. The city of Kalamata, is located on the coast of the Messinian Gulf and at the foot of Mt. Taygetos. It is one of the few coastal towns of Greece that has clear waters and coasts, which have been awarded with the “Blue Flag”. While in just half an hour, the visitor is able to reach the top of Mt. Taygetos with its dense vegetation and its breathtaking views of the Messinian Gulf and the town of Kalamata.
There are many other attractions and places that can be visited such as ancient Messene, Pylos, old monasteries and castles, churches and museums. Kalamata is also famous for the range of activities it offers, for its wonderful food and its oil. Thanks to the new highway, Kalamata is only a 2 hour and 15 minute drive from Athens. It also has an international airport which has direct flights to and from Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Athens, and other European countries. Access to Kalamata is also possible with the long-distance buses (KTEL) from Athens, Ioannina, Patras and Thessaloniki. It has plethora of hotels of all categories and for all preferences in the town center, or along the waterfront.
