Dietetics is a modern and constantly evolving health science, which emerged from the various pathological conditions resulting from an unbalanced diet and require a dietary approach and management.
In a clinical setting, the science of Dietetics is called upon to adapt the patient’s meals to his/her needs, which stem from the condition of his/her health and nutrition.
Upon admission to the “DIAPLASIS” Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, the patient’s swallowing ability is assessed. The dietitian, in collaboration with the speech therapist, determine the texture of the patient’s food to ensure his/her safety during the feeding and drinking process.
The nutritional assessment is then carried out for the purpose of creating the nutritional reference. The nutritional reference aims to meet the patient’s energy and nutrient needs depending on the nutritional state, but also to provide a proper nutrition based on underlying conditions and preferences.

- Education on the principles of a balanced diet with for lasting effect.
Upon the patient’s discharge from our center provide, he/she receives clear nutritional guidelines and a regular follow up is performed to assess his/her nutritional status and weight.
